Our team here at The Training Pig are RTITB qualified and can provide in-house Forklift and Telescopic Lift Truck Driver Training at your premises across the UK
Before you can drive a Forklift Truck or Telehandler, you need to complete comprehensive Training. Forklift & Telehandler Training will ensure that you are competent to operate them, comply with Health and Safety regulations and help you to do your job more efficiently.
Forklift Truck and Telehandler Training must be specific to the type of Truck you will be operating.
Our courses are delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical Training

Fork lift Truck Courses
If you are aged 17 or over, with good co-ordination and driving skills, you should have no difficulty gaining a Forklift Truck qualification
Counterbalance Forklifts
These are used for loading & unloading vehicles and transporting goods in and between warehouses and yards. They have two forks at the front and have the ability to drive up close to a load to pick it up and move it.
Reach Forklifts
This type of Forklift is primarily designed to pick up loads high in racking or storage and can be used in a narrow or confined space
Tow Tractor Training (Novice and Refresher)
There are various models depending on the requirement and can be seen in airports and hospitals and other industries Tow tractors are mainly used on flat level ground

Telehandler courses
Telehandler Training in all sizes excluding the 360 slew
A Telehandler, sometimes known as a Telescopic Handler is very versatile lifting equipment which is used mainly in the construction industry. They’re generally used for lifting pallet boards and moving heavy loads to hard to reach areas at height.
The length of Telehandler Training course will depend on the skill level you currently have.

Banksman Course
A Vehicle Banksman is the person who is in charge of directing the movements of large vehicles on a building or work site. Attendees will learn the correct methods of reversing vehicles and performing shunting type manoeuvres and operations.
Cherry Picker Course
A cherry picker is a hydraulic crane with a railed platform at the end for raising and lowering people. It is also known as boom lift, man lift, basket crane or hydra ladder. Attendees will gain an understanding of the equipment and the main safety risks involved with their use. The course also covers the specific legalisation governing the use of Cherry Pickers.
Scissor lift Course
A scissor lift is a mechanical lifting platform used to provide temporary access for people and equipment to elevated and inaccessible areas. Attendees will learn how to site and operate machine safely in relation to task and demonstrate an understanding of responsibilities under current legislation.
Harness Course
A Safety Harness is a form of protective equipment designed to protect the wearer from falling from height. This course will enable attendees who operate MEWP’s to identify and select the correct form of safety harness. It will give the knowledge required to inspect, maintain, monitor, fit and use them effectively.
